We're a team of FAA-certified drone pilots, photographers, and storytellers on a mission to transform how the world is seen from above.

Our Story

SkyLens Drone Photography was founded in 2018 by aerospace engineer and photographer James Torres. What started as a passion project — filming Bay Area sunsets from a DJI Phantom — quickly grew into a full-service aerial imaging company when a local real estate agent saw the footage and asked, "Can you do this for my listings?"

Since then, we've completed over 500 projects across real estate, construction, events, and industrial sectors. Our team of six FAA-certified pilots brings together backgrounds in cinematography, engineering, and data science to deliver visuals that are as precise as they are beautiful.

We use the latest drone technology — including RTK-enabled mapping drones, thermal imaging payloads, and cinema-grade cameras — to give our clients perspectives that were once only possible with helicopters and cranes.
